My aim is to breed a balanced sheep with superior carcass and wool quality, sufficient in size and growth rate. Over the years I have concentrated on breeding and retaining females from certain reliable families. With the help of detailed lambing records and Signet’s performance figures I have identified these lines, all of which are easy lambing. After so many years of record keeping I have learnt how hereditable certain traits are. Most characteristics run in families, from a raucous voice (Bluey) to a beautiful head and prolificacy (911); from longevity (779) to the dominance of heavy muscling (676).
